Trailer of the Week: Girls Nite Out (The Scaremaker, 1984)

Filmed in New Jersey but set in Ohio, this goofy but entertaining slasher film was made by two well-known Buckeye State attorneys, and features Ohio's own Hal Holbrook.

    There was an article which appeared in The Columbus Dispatch about the making of this film when the producers were in production. Sensing a possible Fangoria article, I called one of them. I learned: 1) neither had a clue there was a network of horror movie fans and 2) in Hollywood, everyone is a movie producer.
