Bret McCormick's Super 8 splatter fest was shot back-to-back with Ozone! Attack of the Redneck Mutants. It was finally released on DVD by Muther Video last year.

Dark Sky Films recently posted a bunch of photos on their Facebook page of original Gorgon Video artwork that the folks at MPI discovered in their basement. The photos include the original art from Don't Look in the Basement, Deathdream, Night of the Bloody Apes, Devil Doll and one identified pic (the one with the theater marquee). Enjoy!
Troma presents another snarky, nuclear sludge-themed comedy, the southern-friend Redneck Zombies. We were disappointed to learn that it was filmed north of the Mason-Dixon Line, but it was one of the only horror films shot in Vice President Joe Biden's home state of Delaware. I wonder if director Pericles Lewnes ever saw Southern Shockers?
The Dead Next Door is a blog about regional or "backyard" horror and science fiction films made from the late 1950s to the earlyl 1990s (and beyond). These films were released during the peak years of independent film production, created by a motley crew of seasoned pros, gifted amateurs, and enthusiastic genre fans, along with dozens of eccentric dreamers -- doctors, lawyers, insurance salesmen, publishers, commercial filmmakers, TV production crews and moonlighting pornographers -- all looking for their big break or a fast buck or both.
